How to Make Fajitas on the Grill

How to Make Fajitas on the Grill

One of my very favorite meals to eat in the summertime is fajitas on the grill.  It’s so delicious and moist that even the pickiest of eaters will fall in love with it.  My husband and children always shout for joy every time I tell them that we are having fajitas on the grill for dinner.  It’s a very easy recipe that really doesn’t take much time at all.

Items You Will Need:

  • Chicken or Steak
  • Peppers
  • Onions
  • 1 cup Lime Juice
  • 1 cup Soy Sauce
  • ½ cup Oil(olive or vegetable)
  • Garlic Powder
  • Grill Baking Dish

Prepping the Meal:

With this meal it is always a good idea to begin the preparation the night before.  The longer you marinade the chicken or steak, the better it is.  Whenever I cook this meal I always cook both chicken and steak.  I prep both the meats and put them together in a glass container.

I then get a different dish and mix 1 cup of lime juice to 1 cup of soy sauce & ½ a cup of oil.  I mix those ingredients together & add a dash of garlic powder.  I then pour the sauce over the prepped meat and let it sit over night.

When I am prepping my meat the night before a lot of times I will also cut up my peppers and onions and place them in a dish so that I don’t have to do any work the next day when I go to cook the food, it’s already ready to go in the fridge.

Cooking the Meal:

If you prep everything the night before this is actually a very easy process.  All you have to do is take your meat out of the fridge.  Place it on a grill safe baking pan & go outside and begin cooking your meat.  While your meat is cooking place your peppers and onions in a frying pan and sauté them until they reach the tenderness which you prefer.

While all the fixings are cooking get out your tortillas, cut up lettuce, tomatoes, cheese etc. to go on top of your fajitas.

This is seriously one of the easiest summer meals to cook and is definitely a favorite!!
