How to Make a Tissue Paper Christmas Tree

My latest Christmas Project was made with items I already had around the house. Not only did it turn out super cute, but it can be used anywhere for your Christmas decor.  It could be used as a centerpiece on a table, on a shelf, or even at a party.  There are so many great ways you can use this tree to decorate for all your holiday events.

Today I’m going to show you how to make the tree above, but you can literally make millions of trees similar to this, just with different items on the outside.  You can use items like red berries, torn scrapbook paper, flowers, etc.

What You Will Need:

Poster Paper

Green Tissue Paper

Hot Glue Gun

Duct Tape

To Make the Tree:

The first thing you will want to do is take your poster board paper and roll it until it forms a cone.  Trim off the bottom so that the cone is even all the way around, then get your duct tape and tape your cone together so it won’t come apart.

After your cone is nice and secure, it’s time to put the tree together.  Cut your tissue paper into 1”x1” little squares(you can do bigger if you want).  Then place some hot glue on your cone a little at a time.

Before your hot glue can dry, take your 1” tissue paper squares and crinkle them up.  Then place them on your hot glue.

Continue this process all the way around your tree until it is completely covered in green.

Once your tissue paper is all over the cone you can add extra embellishments or just leave your tree as is.

Then you are done and ready to enjoy your new Christmas decoration!!
