How to Easily Create a Scrapbook

I recently put together a scrapbook for my boy who is turning 2 in a month.  I wanted to surprise him with a book on his first 2 years of life. I think that it is important to take notes & keep record of events and happenings in life and if I didn’t scrapbook I don’t think that I would actually do that.  Scrapbooking makes it easy to documents life's most important events as they happen and so I thought it would be best if I wrote a blog post today on simple ways to scrapbook.  We all have busy lives and finding time to scrapbook just gets pushed aside.  Today I have come up with some easy tips to help you get going on your scrapbooks for happenings in your life.

Use the Right Products-It sounds so simple but can seriously make all the difference.  I recently discovered a line of products by Teresa Collins at https://www.craftdirect.com/teresa-collins.html .  These products were designed for individuals like you and I who are busy and need all the help they can get to make their scrapbooking easier.  Her line of journaling cards has seriously been a lifesaver for me.  Anytime my son does something cute or crazy I sit down and write about it on a journaling card.  Then when the time comes to add the card to my scrapbook I already have something written and don’t have to worry about coming up with stuff that has happened while I’m sitting there.  It’s amazing!  It’s been a great way to keep track of memories as they happen while saving time when I sit down to scrapbook.

Make it Fun-It’s important to make scrapbooking fun.  If it’s a stressful activity you will dread doing it and find that you spend less time on it.  When you bring the fun back into scrapbooking it will be something you look forward to each day.  It will be a stress reliever & time you look forward to away from your busy life.

Plan it in Your Schedule-We all have busy schedules.  Whether you are running kids to baseball practice or piano lessons, it’s important to schedule in some time for scrapbooking or it won’t get done.  Even if you plan just 20 minutes before bed a couple times a week it will make all the difference, trust me.  Planning it into your schedule is key to getting it done.

I personally am so grateful that we can scrapbook our lives and memories on paper.  Imagine years from now when we are gone & the record our future family can have about us because we took the time to scrapbook.  I feel like scrapbooking is very important and by following my simple tips above you too can create a scrapbook as easily and quickly as possible.
